commission — naracoorte caves wall panel 1989
This commission about the Naracoorte Caves in southern South Australia was originally planned for the facade
of the Regional Art Gallery. Due to concerns about vandalism it was installed at the local Council Chambers
and unveiled in 1989 by Sir Donald Dunstan, the State Governor at that time. The local people complained
that the work could only be viewed during business hours so was then moved and installed at the office of the
Naracoorte Caves where I believe it still stands today.
